This is a nice and simple medieval gold wedding ring, dating to the 12th - 14th century. The band is triangular in section, usually found with amuletic inscriptions (here) on medieval posy rings. This example is unusual in being unengraved, likely for use as a wedding band. The ring is intact though a little scuffed from its time in the ground, with a nice patina and as excavated.
