This is a medieval silver finger ring, dating to the 14th century A.D. The ring is decorated with a rampant lion to the bezel, the shoulders traces of a worn design. Such a ring may have acted as a signet, though more likely used as a supporters or retainers ring. The condition is rather worn, testament to its long and loyal life to its original owner.
