This is nice Germanic Saxon period bronze wrist clasp, dating to the 6th - 7th century A.D. The clasp retains the fixing loop and studs on the back for a leather strap, It is decorated with zoomorphic terminals, with a representation of a stylized fox or badger. It would have originally been fully tinned, traces which remain. A nice looking piece of Saxon art, ideal for a serious collector.
